Our Preschool unit is separate from the main nursery building and operates over two floors. We cater for up to 32 children at any one time the ratio of staff is 1 to 8 Children.

Children learn through play by being offered a range of stimulating, challenging activities that promote confidence and independence. These are planned daily following the children’s interests and then further enhanced to extend their knowledge.

The seven areas of learning are used as a focus throughout the year as we plan for a range of learning experiences which teach children the awe and wonder of the world. We focus on different themes such as, seasons, people who help us, healthy eating, oral health, and religious festivals etc…

Our main focus in the Pre-school is to get the children ready to move onto a school setting by promoting children`s independence by encouraging them to identify their own names on arrival (self-registration), named water bottles, individual coat pegs and at mealtimes children are encouraged to make choices by self-serving.

Our Pre-school room leader is Chloe B and she is supported by nursery practioners Jen, Angela, Chloe O & Alisha, who are all fully qualified level 2 & 3 in childcare & education and all hold first aid qualifications.
